In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes reverberate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.
The questline focuses on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, probably the captive, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who finish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
